Purpose:
The Education Committee shall identify needs and issues of users of construction and construction related financial information and program educational events to satisfy those needs. This committee will provide educational courses each year covering basic financial education as well as in-depth education for more advanced users of financial reporting as it relates to the construction industry.

Primary Activities:

  • To create and/or coordinate the dissemination of education resources such as guides, training materials, and other educational material relating to the construction industry. These resources may be print or non-print materials.
  • To present, on an annual basis, The Basics of Construction Accounting and a more specialized education module based on the needs of the membership.
Measures of Success:
  • At least two course offerings annually from the CFMA National list of courses
  • At least thirty five participants attend an educational course given by our chapter annually.
  • Average evaluation scores of at least 80% positive for all courses and presenters.
